I met Dwight back in 1983. He and his then wife Elaine were our best friends in seminary. He taught my husband at the time to play banjo and fiddle. I didn’t touch banjo for close to 40 years. Two years ago started taking banjo lessons from Dwight online. He was my amazing friend and teacher. He was like a big brother to me. He was an amazing banjo player, but he was an even more amazing Christian. He will be sadly missed.

This is a beautifully done album of fiddle and banjo playing; the instrumentation is imaginative, including a pump organ and a bodhran (irish drum). The tunes are uncommon; the singing is great too.

This rendition of Virgil Anderson's "Jenny Hang the Kettle On" is wonderful. It perfectly grabs the simplistic beauty of Virgil's version, but has such clarity. Amazing album!
